Small Sneak PeekIt's been five weeks since my grandmother's death; my parents and I are finally cleaning out her house. It's not much of a task, since she lived alone and didn't have many things because she liked having excess space and didn't want "earthly items" cluttering her house. Granny Jill wasn't, by any means, a religious woman, but she still, out of habit, spoke like one. A sigh escaped my lips as I placed another box into the back of our truck.
"Travis, can you handle the house by yourself? Your father and I are going to put all this stuff into the storage unit." my mom placed a hand on my shoulder and kissed my cheek, which I grunted to and quickly wiped it away. She giggled as she got into the truck as my dad started it up.
I watched them drive away before going back into the house. I walked into her bedroom with a few boxes and bags, ready to start packing more things. The typical soap and peanut smell of most elderly people was supremely strong in her room. I wrinkled my nose at the pot
The Killers (A CP fanfic) Chapter 6Chapter 6
Since they didn't have built in weapons, both Jenny and James were handed simple kitchen knives. If this situation were real, they'd most likely be forced to use that against each other or to kill a mortal. Jenny shuddered when she thought about Killing again. She snapped out of it, thought, when she saw James walk up to her. He held out his hand, shakily and she took it. Jenny checked to make sure it was safe before she spoke.
"Why're you so jumpy all of a sudden?" She whispered. James' expression didn't change.
"Try not to say anything before a fight," he instructed. "You'll end up at a disadvantage."
"You're still not answering my question." Jenny raised her voice a little.
"Just don't talk, okay?" He said quietly but assertively.
James backed away and moved the hand that held his blade farther behind him. Jenny did the same and locked eyes with her brother. They kept a calm glare as
Halloween Hell - Part 1"I don't know about this," Tess said doubtfully, looking herself over in the fitting room mirror. "What if Rob doesn't like it on me?"
"Are you kidding?" Her best friend Heather raised her eyebrows. "You're a total knockout! Of course he'll like it!"
Tess bit her lip and crossed her arms over her chest. The costume was nothing like her usual style. Her idea of Halloween did not include skimpy outfits. Though she had to admit: the dark leather pants and short shirt of the female assassin's get-up had a certain appeal. Especially the gun belt that sat just on top of her hips. Would Rob share her thoughts though?
"Fine, I'll get it," she said, and Heather squealed happily and clapped her hands.
Two nights later, she was regretting her decision as she and Heather waited for the boys on her front porch.
"We should have driven to the party ourselves," her friend grumbled. "We'd be halfway there by now."
Tess, meanwhile, was fidgeting and trying to pull the crop top down further over her midd
Eight Pages: Chapter Two: Acedia"... Alright, how did it happen?" Gula asked... Ira and Invidia had come back from the park, they told the rest of the group what had happened.
"... Well, SOMEONE had to have killed him! I mean, a spike doesn't just show up out of nowhere!" Avarita replied. "Well, we didn't see anyone put it there... He just sort of flew into it..."
"Either way, it was murder! Murder, I tell you!"
The figure listened in on the conversation... They pushed their mask up, and began writing in the notebook further. Now, they had eight pages filled, for, that's all they would need. They tossed the notebook back into the area and hid.
"... Ira, you were ALWAYS finding Superbia annoying... I wouldn't be surprised if... Oh, you sort of... Murdered... Him..."
"... ARE YOU ACCUSING ME OF MURDER!?" Ira yelled. He couldn't believe his brother was going this far as to accuse him falsely.
"Either that, or you and Invidia killed him together! You were the only two at the park! Coincidence? I think not!" Avarita snapp
The Killers (A CP Fanfic) Chapter 7Chapter 7
"What's going on?" A feline voice asked from the shadows. She was cloaked in a dark robe, although it still couldn't hide the fluorescent blue patches of fur covering part of her body. Her wild, bright eyes darted around the figure she was standing behind. They were in the forest, hidden by trees and shrubs from the creatures they were observing. The feline's tail curled up in anxiety from waiting so long. "It's my turn to look! I want to see!" Her voice was shrill and high-pitched.
"Shhhh!" The figure put a finger over his mouth turning around to face her. His face was shrouded by the hood of his cloak, but even then, one of his eyes still faintly glowed in the night, flickering with white. The female whimpered and put her dark grey arms over her face that weren't covered by her robe. "Do you want them to hear you?!" He spoke in a harsh whisper before returning to the bush he was hiding behind.
"Sorry," the female whispered, holdi
BROTHERS-CHAPTER 11 "So,you are telling me that you are a ghost? Am i right?"
,,Yes,you can say that",he whispered as he hooked up another smoke from his cigarette. He continued...
-But i am not here so I could tell you that...Im here with a much more important task.
-And that is?
-Well,I was sent here to inform you to be very careful with what you are doing here...
I was suprised with this fact he said.He continued.
-Do you know those people who killed me?
-Yeah,I do.What about them?
He took a deep breath before he continued.
-Well,the thing is,they arent really human beings. They are a group of things that are called man names, but they are most known by the name ,,Dark shrouds".
I was confused by hose words he spoke. They felt kinda strange...in a very very weird way.
-What do you mean by ,,they are not humans,,?
-I mean they only kill the special people. The people who are marked. For instance, the killed me because i did awful things in the past, which i regreted at the end.
Eight Pages: Chapter One: SuperbiaA figure stood in an empty room. They were looking at a wall, covered in pictures... With each picture, there was an 'X' over each one. "... This was how it started..." The figure spoke, laying a notebook on a table in front of the wall... "... This is how it all began, and how it ended, as well."
It was quite a lovely day. A group of eight semiroblexians were out and about, arguing with each other, starting petty fights, or doing nothing, really...
"HEY! Give that back!" A red one shrieked... Someone had taken his duster after he had taken it off. "No, I shouldn't have to!" A taller green one laughed... He looked like the red one, but a bit taller. They continued chasing and scolding each other until another broke in, "Alright, we get it... We get it... Avarita, give Ira his coat back... Ira, stop cussing out your brother." The one to speak was an orange clone... He didn't seem too pleased that he had to stop what he was doing just to break up a fight. "... Oh, let them be, Gula. It's
The John Chronicles: Chapter 2Journal Entry#2
I went out scouting the area around my home, looking for those foul creatures I had...for lack of a better term...named John. During my search I noticed these...strange markings on the outskirts of the area. Engraved in the bottoms of certain trees were these circular patterns, teeth marks piercing the bark. It was like a squid came on land and sucked on the things...but then I remembered the strange stomach mouths the creatures possessed. By Notch, this must be how these Johns mark their territory. I noticed that the markings kept going into the wilderness, but, being a seasoned explorer of this wide world and many others, I decided to gear up for what would soon be a harrowing fight.
I then made my way back to my humble house, Tony waiting for me by the door. The dog was a happy little guy, always wagging his tail, especially when we go out back and play fetch. I filled his food bowl with cooked zombie flesh from the cabinet, and went to the armory. From my armor stan
BROTHERS-CHAPTER 12I wanted to do the thing Cad told me to...
I needed to go to see the house, the house of Happy Jack,my long forgotten father.
Before leaving,Clad told me that the house was located on the quiet green hill, the hill where the nature was still untouched.
Well,it was easier said than done.I moved out.
At the rate i was going,i tought i was never going to make it.But then, just s i started to lose hope,i saw it.A small green landscape, located next to a small village.
It was just as i tought. It will do.
As I knocked on the door. After a couple of long minutes,a massive and strong figure opened them.
Jack made a gesture that could knock a baby elephant in one swing. He closed the door, giving me a bear hug.
As I dived out of the smelly T-Shirt he was wearing i looked him directly in the eyes. And on my amazement,he was crying.
,,Toni,i-its been so long,w-w-what can i say?"
,,No,im not mad at you dad.I heard the whole story, but yet again,I would like to hear
