Chapter 1 - Of Comics and CompanyMonday, August 22nd, 2011 – Sugar Land, Texas
Moon Phase – Last Quarter
Listening to the voice of his potential new boss as he read off his application, Alex Stryker shifted in his seat and straightened his back a bit. Trying his hardest not to adjust the clip-on tie on his neck, he let his eyes wander a bit, looking around at all the stuff in the room. Boxes of comics, both new and old, stood stacked near the walls. From a number of them, he could catch the very familiar scent of comics that were yellowing and aging.
“So, Alex, what can you offer me as an employee of this shop?” asked the person interviewing him.
“I'm not sure yet,” Alex replied. His voice was one of those that would have sounded right at home on a talk radio station. Deep and clear. Thinking the initial answer sounded stupid, he continued on. “but I'll offer everything I can provide. Food and drinks if that's what it takes.”
The final remark got the perso
Odyssey Into 2012 - Chapter 1Gazing around at the elaborate scenery for a second, Lilith turned her head to look behind her. The portal she had come here through was gone, which she found unsurprising yet unnerving. It had just appeared in front of her and she walked through it, acting on pure curiosity. It had taken only seconds, but here she was.
But then she had to wonder. The atmosphere of this place. It was grand and majestic, with so many people walking about. And yet none of them had seen a swirling mass of 'magic' deposit her here? Why? Was she invisible?
"Excuse me." the man Lilith spoke to looked her direction instantly. Waving her hand once, she saw the eyes of the man stay unwavered. As if he was looking through her. “Where am I?” The man responded in Japanese, which she didn't understand outside of Tokyo. However with more sets of eyes now looking in her direction, she was convinced she wasn’t invisible. “OK, great. More questions to answer.”
Nodding to the man, rega
Werewolf Tale - NaNoWriMo - SynopsisAfter trying to save the life of the victim of a werewolf, Alex Stryker finds himself on the receiving end of a bite from the same beast. Fending it off through what he believes is his own ability, he escapes only to find that by getting away, the werewolf has passed lycanthropy to him.
Being bitten outside of the full moon, Alex quickly realizes that this condition is far more complex than he originally believed. With no mentor to turn to, and unwilling to risk the safety and company of his family and friends, he is left to observe the changes as they surface.
With a new job in retail, his social hobby as a skateboarder, and his growing concern for those closest to him, he has his work cut out for him. But can he keep it a secret, or will the one that turned him force him to reveal the truth?
There’s a vacant house at the end of my block. I’ve lived in this neighborhood for almost a year, but I never really paid any attention to it. Like any vacant house in a neighborhood with kids, it has its stories; most kids say it's haunted, surprise surprise. All the kids at school are too cowardly to do anything but tell “spooky” stories about it, ha, wimps. Not me, I’m going to do something about it. Today, I’m going to explore it.
I’m on my front steps now, wielding only a small flashlight. Don’t need a camera, not like I’m going to see anything interesting. I told my mom I'm going to go play with some kids from school. Then, finally, get off the steps and down onto the sidewalk.
The vacant house is only half a bl
The Haunted Mansion: Dracula WG - CH.3Chapter 3
It was the second night in the Hellsing Manor. There was a small coming room situated next to the dining room. Dracula retired in that room, and it had a cozy redwood coffin for his convenience. But the vampire had to struggle to fit in the casket because his bulging gut was almost too large to fit. He finally managed to squeeze in and went to sleep.
The vampire woke up around midnight. He stumbled out of the casket and exited the door. Something caught his eyes. On the floor, a plate of warm muffins next to his feet. Dracula wasted no time at munching on the muffins. A wonderful smell wafted in the hallway and it found a way to his nose, signaling breakfast time.
Dracula stepped into the dining room with the familiar site of bountiful food on the table. Almost every dish was present: scrambled eggs, hickory smoked bacon, buttered toast, pancakes & waffles flavored buttermilk, chocolate, blueberry, and banana. More on the list was omelets, smoked sausages, French toast, a

Palladon, Alex and Vitaly met with Hubert on the docks of New York Bay. They were standing before a large fishing yacht bearing the name, “S.S. Yabba.” A young, pot-bellied lion with a dark brown mane stepped out from the cabin area.
“Ahoy, mates! Captain Furry at your services!” the young lion replied as he leapt onto the peer.
“Cap, I’d like you to meet…” Hubert said.
“Alex the Lion!” Captain Furry interrupted. “The King of New York City in person.”
“The one and only,” Alex replied conceitedly.
“This is truly an honor!” Captain then turned to face Vitaly and Palladon. “And who are these two?”
“I’m Vitaly and he is Palladon,” Vitaly replied.
“New comers to the zoo, I’ll bet.”
“We don’t live in a zoo!”
“You don’t? So what have you been doing these days, Alex?”
Panic Rising: Ch 1It had been about 2 hours since she had gone into hiding. The air sang with shrieks of terror and pain. She covered her ears and cried silently, hoping not to attract attention. "K-Keep it together, Jayden..." She whispered to herself, pushing a few strands of dark orange hair from her face.
She hadn't suspected something like this would happen. Jayden had only wanted to go on a walk, like she normally did during the week. It was the usual routine. Get home from a tiring day at school, drop her backpack on the couch, and head out the door for a stroll to relax. Not 15 minutes after she'd started, a single air-slicing scream rang out. Jayden had turned towards the noise, only to see a young woman, maybe in her early twenties, collapse as blood gushed from her throat. Standing above her was another person. It seemed they had, for some reason, bitten out this poor lady's jugular. She gasped for air on the ground, choking out whimpers and whines. Before she had even shut her eyes for good,
Hell...o...Hello~ part 9Hello~
It's nice day today, huh~?

The Bloody End Chapter 14A Killer's Mind
"P-please! D-don't do this...!"
"Begging aint going to get you out of this, my friend."
"Please I'll..I'll do anything...! What do you want me to do?!"
"Mmm....shut up and maybe don't bleed too much all over my floor."
"Please!! I have a wife!"
"Well maybe she'll join you in Hell!"
And before this bastard could say another word...SPLAT! It took a little longer than usual. Maybe I just wanted to see him suffer. A lot. If someone dares trespass into my "home", they deserve to be slaughtered, end of! Especially snivelling little cowards who don't shut up.
Hm...I will admit that for me, it was a little bit of an angry kill. Okay a Hell of a lot. Hey, I'm a generally angry and aggressive son of a bitch, but usually I have my way of doing things. Toy with the victim, gleefully let them beg for their life, toy with them more, sometimes even let them believe I've changed my mind and I'm letting them go, and when they turn their back for just a single second...
The Bloody End Chapter 15Escort
I blink out of my daydream by a loud, high pitched voice. I smile as politely as I can to the bouncy blonde in front of me.
"Sorry, Catherine. Just bored."
"You look like you could use some cheering up, babe. I know! Lets go for a drink after work!"
"Hm...I don't know, Cath. The Doctors told me to try and get some rest since my little episode."
"Oh come on that was ages ago!"
"It was 3 days ago."
"Still! You feel and look fine now! You're in need of a good night out! Drinks on me!"
"Alright, alright! Fine. Just a couple."
She wouldn't stop nagging, I know she wouldn't if I had said no. And she'd have whined and moaned about it the next day. Ah what the Hell? A few drinks won't hurt. Maybe she's right. Maybe I do need to just lighten up. Maybe the stress of thinking this friend has died, this one has died is all getting a head of me. If Jeff had intentions of killing any of them, especially Gary, he'd have done so by now. But Gary is
Panic Rising: Ch 2One figure stepped inside the room. A boy about Jayden's age, and just a few years older than Lana. His face was painted with pale white makeup, marked with two black stripes under his eyes. He was very... Colorful. Or just blue, they supposed. Everything about him was either blue or white. His hair was a lively sky blue, while his hat and the poms on his shirt were a darker, marine blue. His eyes gleamed black. "Who are you?" Jayden asked, gripping the glass in her hand. The boy bowed and held out a white-gloved hand. "Hello there, misses! My name is Crazy the Clown!" He said with a seemingly friendly grin. "That explains the makeup, then..." Lana sighed, leaning back against the wall. "How did you find this place?" she asked Crazy. He shrugged. "Well, I was getting ready to perform in the carnival show this afternoon, but the crew got attacked by what I would call zombies. I high-tailed it out of there and looked for a shelter, which just so happened to be inhabited by you two!" His
HetaOni: Time Marches On - CH. 18 China..."This is it," China said stepping into the large room that lay beyond the wall. The room had the same flooring and walls as the last one, but also contained a long table and fireplace. The fireplace was centered on the wall to the right of the door. The table: in the center of the room.
The table was long extending the room, but other than that there wasn't much to the room. "Well let's take a look around, see if we can't find something useful," Canada suggested as he started to walk around the rather empty room.
China and Russia looked as well, although it seemed pretty fruitless a search, as the room was so empty. "But there must be something," Canada thought, "A crack in the wallpaper? A hidden door? Something." He walked over to the empty fireplace. Its gold embossed frame looked old and worn. Although even so it still had no dust or signs antiquity that this place so lacked.
Among the ashes a glint of metal caught his eye. Of course it was strange that it caught his eye at all sin

Poetic PsychosisIn thirty seconds, the next shell would fall. Every night was the same, but every night Lorenzo experienced it as if it were the first time. His throat felt swollen; breathing was hard. He glanced around at the others; young men like him who had been shipped out in the name of honour and freedom. There was no honour in this, no freedom. Only death behind your eyelids, and a fear so gutting, that it carved out your innards and left you a hollow husk. Lorenzo tried to breathe, tried to assure himself that he was still whole, still made of flesh. They had lied when they told him he was ready.
Matteo ran towards him, arms out, rifle swinging uselessly at his side. He shouted for him to run, but Lorenzo remained motionless, unable to move as his friend’s warning was lost in the constant blare of gunfire. None of them were ready.
“The cycle is repeating. It is not safe.” The voice was soft and weak, yet it carried over the gunfire and battle cries without impediment.
